Dear Governor Chris Sununu,I believe the right to vote is fundamental to our democracy — and I’m writing to ask you to protect every New Hampshirite’s right to be heard in government. It’s very important to me that no eligible citizen in the Granite State is disenfranchised by this public health crisis. And, you can take action in time for November’s elections to make sure this happens. While all New Hampshire voters will be able to check the disability option to vote absentee this year, we must also allow all eligible voters to register to vote by mail, create clear and simple absentee ballot request and registration procedures, and have pre-paid postage for returned ballots. We also must make the excused absentee ballot request available to submit with a editable PDF submitted to an email inbox in addition to the current fax and mail options. We also must ensure everyone who votes in person can do so safely. We all deserve a say in the future of our families, our communities, and our state — which is why the right to vote is sacred. Thank you for doing whatever you can to protect our vote.
