Dear Senator, As your constituent, I urge you to make sure that all voters can cast their ballot safely this November — by including the rest of the $4 billion that states will need to hold successful elections in the next COVID-19 response package.
We saw widespread issues during the primaries in states like Wisconsin, Georgia, and now Kentucky and New York. It’s clear that the COVID-19 crisis is having a major impact on our democracy — and unless Congress responds, these elections will be a preview of what’s to come in November.
No one should have to choose between risking their health or forfeiting their right to vote. I am calling on you to make sure every state has the resources it needs to protect voters’ rights and their wellbeing during this pandemic.
Please make sure Congress’ next COVID-19 response package includes $3.6 billion for safe, efficient elections. Thank you.
